With a large family and hectic daily schedule, the owners of this Gaithersburg, MD home were finding their small galley style kitchen just didn’t work. Removing the walls to enlarge the kitchen was no easy task, and required major structural modifications. But the results far outweigh the challenge. With walls removed the once isolated kitchen is now open and spacious. A large custom island has ample storage and counter space for meal prep, and is a great place for the kids to gather to do homework or grab a quick snack before heading off to practice.
