Washington DC Kitchen

The kitchen of this Washington, DC co-op was stuck in the 60’s. Originally designed for efficiency of both space and cost, the kitchen lacked functionality and style. But finding the space to expand in this rectilinear apartment would be a challenge… so why not add a “curve”. A bowed wall gently re-directs circulation in and around the apartment, subtly borrowing the precious inches needed to expand and update the kitchen.
